Biography

Sunita Sur is an internationally established living fine Artist.

She was born in Berkshire and later grew up on the outskirts of London.

From a very young age she has been fascinated by the dramatic colour effects created by light, particularly at night and this is reflected in her paintings.

Her family are certainly the most influential in her life as an Artist. At the age of 7 she was given a set of oil paints from her parents and through her father's guidance and her family's encouragement she learnt at a fast pace how to work with this new medium.

She would often watch her father paint and found the final painting not only to be beautiful but he was able to create pieces of art that were more colourful, mystical and fascinating than that of the natural piece.

Although Sunita has painted for many years she has developed her style naturally with great inspiration from her brother, the greatest critic of her works and has learnt that her passion should be interpreted through her paintings without rules or boundaries.

Most of Sunita's spare time is spent doing the things that she enjoys and through her growing years the most valued part of her life has been through painting. She escapes into a mystical world and visualises being in her paintings. She creates pieces of art that are more exciting to her than that of reality. Each painting represents a form of escapism. "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder". Each painting tells a story, some more obvious than others but the greatest beauty is that of the eyeholder's imagination.
